Superior Frameless Showers has been family owned and operated for three generations by the Kuenzle family. Our company's history starts in Union City, New Jersey when Florian Kuenzle decided to open his first shop called Florian Glass. In the 1930's Florian worked as a welder building Navy ships in New Jersey. To help provide for his family he also did simple glass repairs on the side. By the 1940's Florian perfected his craft of glass repair and decided to open his first glass shop (Florian Glass). Florian Glass grew quickly, so much so that he needed additional help so he asked his oldest son Robert to join the family business. Robert continued to perfect his father's craft, but shortly after joining the family business he took a hiatus to serve with the US Army in Korea. 

Florian Glass continued to grow at a rapid pace between the 1950's and 60's; because of this success the father and son team decided to sell the current company and establish Fairview Glass in Fairview, New Jersey. Robert and his father spent some of the best remaining years together while in Fairview. 

After Florian passed away in the 1970's, Robert continued pursuing his and his father's passion for glass. He expanded the company once again and opened Superior Glass in Harrison, New Jersey. In the early 1990's Robert moved his family and a piece of his father's legacy to Florida seeking warmer weather. In the early years of the move Superior Frameless Showers was slow, but over the years would begin to thrive and become the company we know today.
